Texas Hold'em poker
This fast and exciting form of Poker is surprisingly
complex and requires a great deal of skill to play at
an expert level. It has now become the most popular
form of Poker in cardrooms around the world.
Holdem’s takeover as the leading professional
game has resulted in volumes of written material about
the game and how to play it. Much of this material stresses
the opportunities of making money through pot management
and card reading skills. Most of these studies however,
assume a ten person game as played in a casino.
The aim here is to introduce the basic elements of
sensible Holdem play in home games with 6 or 7 players.
